What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is natural. Homeopathic remedies are based on natural ingredients. According to the laws of physics and chemistry, many homeopathic remedies are so diluted that they could never work. This fact is pointed out by critics of homeopathy which dismiss homeopathic remedies as a placebo.
According to the homeopathic experience and doctrine, the more diluted, the more potent the solution is. How does Homeopathy work?
Homeopathy works in harmony with your immune system, unlike some conventional medicines which suppress the immune system. (For example, cough medicines suppress the cough reflex, which is your body's attempt to clear the lungs).
The effects of micro doses have been known for some time now, and there are examples that support the idea that, diluted concentrations of a substance will have a measurable or sometimes a profound effect. This phenomenon is known as: hormesis which is used to describe a process where the body reacts favorably towards toxins and stressors in small doses.
The way Hormesis works is not entirely understood but studies suggest that small doses evoke a bio-positive effect while large doses evoke a bio-negative effect. Small doses may trigger certain repair systems in the body. As these repair systems have been given a “kick start” they are now able to neutralize the toxins effects and even repair other deficiencies in the body that were not caused by the toxin.
Homeopathic Remedies don't work on the Physical Plane
Homeopathic remedies are not addictive and will not require you to take them for ever. Your body will not become dependant on them. If no relief is felt, you are probably taking the wrong homeopathic remedy.
It is believed that homeopathic remedies work in the spiritual or energetic plane as opposed to the physical plane where we are used to think and measure. Some people believe that dilution and succession releases a spirit- like power that works on the spiritual level of a human. We are familiar with some form of energy, such as subatomic particles and electromagnetic radiation. Physicists are still trying to explain the nature of matter and gravity.
Like therapeutic touch and acupuncture, homeopathy is an energy medicine. Homeopathy is a curative technique that uses energy therapy to cure illnesses. Potency will not occur if you just dilute the substance. Nor will it occur if you shake the substance. While curing, it strengthens and rejuvenates a weakened electro magnetic field.
It is an indisputable fact that all homeopathic remedies are totally free from harmful side effects.
Then how does such a minute amount of substance get transferred to the body and still work?
Some theorists suggest the substance taken in small doses can alleviate symptoms similar to those it causes at higher doses; others say the dilution process triggers an electromagnetic imprinting that affects the body. The healing power of crystals and magnets are believed to come from their effect on the energy pattern or vibration frequency. So, the suggestion of the homeopathic remedies as working on the energy plane may not be as far fetched as we may think.
